Planning for the
unique transportation
and safety needs of
The Verde Valley
The Verde Valley Master Transportation Plan (VVMTP) is getting an update! Building on the 2016 plan, this plan that looks to improve how people travel within, to and from the Verde Valley by building a transportation system that is safe, efficient, and accessible for everyone.
The plan will outline key projects and programs for all types of travel and make sure they align with the region’s unique needs and vision for the future. It will also include a Supplemental Safety Action Plan (SSAP) to help guide how we design and build future transportation infrastructure across the region.
Planning starts with you
A big part of this plan is figuring out which transportation improvements matter most—and in what order. That’s why hearing from the community is so important. Whether you drive, bike, walk, or take transit, your input helps make sure we’re tackling today’s challenges while also planning ahead for future growth. There are many ways you can be involved:
- Attend the virtual public informational meeting or view the recording.
- Attend an in-person open house.
- Visit our booth at community events.
- Take the survey.
- Share concerns, ideas, and feedback using the interactive map.
